Trust management
Haideria Trust is managed by:
- A 14-member Board of Trustees (BOT)
- A Managing Trustee
- A Secretary of the Trust
- A 5-member Executive Committee (EC)
The Board of Trustees is the policy-making body: it sets the Trust’s policies and procedures and monitors and supervises its affairs. The Executive Committee runs the day-to-day affairs of the Trust and carries out tasks assigned by the Board.
The Managing Trustee, the Secretary and the Executive Committee members are elected unanimously from among the trustees for a three-year term. The Managing Trustee chairs all Board and Executive Committee meetings, which are held monthly and weekly respectively.
All trustees work voluntarily and draw no monetary benefit — instead, they raise funds for the Trust’s projects.
Accounts and transparency
All financial accounts are computerised and maintained according to a standard accounts manual. An annual budget is prepared and approved by the Board of Trustees, and the accounts are audited every year by chartered accountants. Audited accounts are available to all members and donors of the Trust.
